About the countdown timer with sound
The sound is synthesised in your browser instead of downloading an audio file, which keeps the page fast and means the alert still works without a connection.
Mute it at any time with the alarm toggle; the visual Time's Up message and progress bar still tell you when the countdown ends.
Frequently asked questions
- What sound does it play?
- A short two-tone beep that repeats four times, loud enough to hear across a room at full volume.
- Can I mute it?
- Yes. Use the alarm toggle to switch the sound off; the timer still shows a visual alert.
- Does it work offline?
- Once the page has loaded, the countdown and the sound work without an internet connection.
