No tracking cookies

Global Timeline does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Local storage

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your settings and saved world clock cities. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Offline cache

To let the timer and stopwatch work offline, your browser may cache pages from this site.

Why preferences are saved

Local browser storage helps the site remember choices such as appearance, alarm volume, preferred time format and world-clock cities. This is different from an advertising cookie: the saved choices are used to restore your own view when you return.

Managing saved data

You can change preferences from Settings or remove saved site data through your browser’s privacy settings. Clearing site data may also remove offline copies and reset your saved city list and preferences.

Shared links are not cookies

Timer and countdown details you choose to share are embedded in the link. They are not retrieved from a tracking cookie; anyone who has the link can see the information it contains.
